Counseling and Case referral
We work with CBO Partners in managing cases of survivors of abuse. In most cases, our Partners handle the case directly, and we provide support on those areas where the Partner is unable to provide or if they are not available. There are also cases where we refer cases to the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (Tak, Thailand) and the Department of Social Welfare (Myawaddy, Myanmar).
GBV Network Strengthening
The GBV Network is a network of organizations working on the protection of women and children based in Mae Sot. The goal of the network is to share information, resources, and conduct follow-ups on GBV case referrals. The GBV Network aligns its work with the Thai government through its collaborations with the One-Stop Crisis Center (OSCC). We are a member of the GBV Network and serve as a mobilizer to strengthen the group and upgrade the skills of members.
Every year, we conduct family talk workshops, community dialogue, workshops for teen boys and girls, and an awareness campaign. The 16-Days of Activism Against Violence Against Women is a yearly event we observe with Partners, the local government, and other civil society organizations in Mae Sot.
Child Protection Workshops
We assist our Partners in strengthening their child protection policies, protocols, and training packages ensuring that it is also aligned with Thailand’s Child Protection Act.
