[This report presents an analysis of existing data to evaluate the scope, effectiveness, and gaps in mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services for refugees and migrants from Myanmar (Burma) residing in Mae Sot and adjacent areas along the Thailand-Myanmar border. The assessment aims to provide evidence-based insights into current service provision, identify unmet needs, and highlight opportunities for strengthening MHPSS interventions.
The assessment highlights key advancements and areas for improvement across MHPSS systems. It provides recommendations for enhanced data management, gender-responsive service delivery, improved coordination, capacity-building, diversified funding sources, and the development of long-term psychiatric rehabilitation programs for clients with chronic mental health needs.]
